Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Gomez

Dr. Frankie Gomez is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and founder of Gomez Oral Surgery.  He is a native Floridian and grew up in South Florida.  He attended University of Miami for his undergraduate studies and received a bachelor’s degree in Biology.  He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.  After dental school, Dr. Gomez completed a 6 year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.  As part of his residency, he received a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.  In addition, he completed a one-year general surgery internship.

This extensive training allows Dr. Gomez to offer a wide variety of surgical procedures to his patients.   This included IV sedation, removal of wisdom teeth, dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting, and dental implant placement.

Today, Dr. Gomez continues to operate on the cutting edge or oral and maxillofacial surgery.   He is able to provide his patients with the most updated and accurate methods of care using in-office CT scans and the latest digital equipment.

Dr. Gomez is a member of several organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.
